Chelsea's French Toast with Bananas Foster
A rich and indulgent breakfast treat featuring Challah bread French toast topped with a decadent bananas foster.

Ingredients
- 2 slices Challah bread per person
- 3-4 eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 Tbs of butter
- 1 banana per person - sliced
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. of dark rum
- Pure maple syrup or powdered sugar to taste
Preparation
- 1.Slice bread to desired thickness and dip in egg wash.
- 2.Grill in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat using 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook all slices and set aside.
- 3.Add 4 tablespoons of butter to the skillet on medium heat.
- 4.Add bananas and brown sugar.
- 5.Sauté until sugar melts and bananas soften.
- 6.Turn to medium-high heat.
- 7.Carefully add 1/4 cup dark rum and add flame to burn off alcohol.
- 8.Plate French toast and add banana foster topping.
- 9.Top with maple syrup or powdered sugar to taste.
